The Science and Art of Dental Ceramics for Digital Clinical Teams: Gaining the Knowledge, Skills & Confidence Necessary to Create Life-Like Ceramic Restorations

Differentiate your practice, increase your internal marketing results and service to patients by utilizing the higher-level skills learned in this experiential, comprehensive session. Insourcing ceramic restoration fabrication opens new practice horizons, both esthetically and in terms of efficiency and productivity. During this unique, hands-on course, Marina Caponigro, MDT, EFDA, BEd, guides attendees through a process of creating natural-looking ceramic restorations within the practice. Start with a unique refresher of dental anatomy and color theory, followed by a customized hands-on experience that combines the science of CAD/CAM Technology and the art of using ceramic stains and pastes. The learning objectives are: reviewing proper dental materials, dental laboratory tools, and equipment necessary for fabrication of successful restorations in the dental practice setting; learning the steps required to process, finish and polish CAD/CAM Restorations using a wide variety of chairside and laboratory products; refreshing and deepening your knowledge of color theory, shade mapping, and matching restorations to existing dentition; discussing tooth and gum morphology as they relate to proper contour and anatomy of milled restorations during hand-milling; understanding the importance of surface texture to natural appearance of the smile. No prerequisites are required for this program.
