Contour is King

Bring life to your full contour with GC Initial® LiSi Press restorations by utilizing a micro layering technique with GC Initial® IQ Lustre Pastes NF. In this informative one-day course, Austin Rickert will discuss tooth morphology and why it’s the most important element when trying to recreate nature, as well as surface texture and luster. Each participant will take full contour pressed GC Initial LiSi Press HT “enamel replacement” restorations from start to finish. Austin will apply techniques he uses when contouring to add shape and texture before creating a micro layering technique with GC Initial IQ Lustre Pastes NF. Lastly, we will finalize the surface by hand-polishing to the desired luster. The objective of this course is to educate participants with techniques that they can implement immediately to optimize the results of their full contour restorations. Course models will be provided.
Participants should bring: Adequate burs (for de-spruing, contouring and adding surface texture), stone, diamond and rubber. For applying the micro layering technique, participants will also need their preferred brushes for staining.
