In March 2010, Dr. Kazuo Hirota, Managing Director, GC Corporation was awarded the prestigious Peyton-Skinner Award for Innovation in Dental Materials by the Dental Materials Group (DMG) of the International Association for Dental Research.

Dr. Hirota received the award at the 88th meeting of the International Association for Dental Research in Barcelona, Spain on July 15. The presentation was made by Dr. Jeffrey Platt, President of the DMG section, during its business meeting.

Peyton-Skinner Award is given to scientists who throughout their careers have made outstanding contributions to innovations in dental materials. Dr. Hirota became the first Japanese who received Peyton-Skinner Award.

GC was Ranked in 12th in the 5th Quality Management Survey
In the 5th Quality Management Survey conducted by Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc. and Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers, GC was again highly evaluated and was ranked in 12th place in the overall ranking. In the subcategory rankings, GC was ranked 4th for "Quality Assurance and Personnel Cultivation (Education)" and "Development of New Products".
