The GC Occlusal Matrix System allows the
dentist to restore perfect occlusal surfaces and
undertake multiple restorations in different parts
of the mouth. Use as an upper and lower quadrant or
simply connect the handle of the left and right
matrix trays together to accommodate a full arch.
The full arch matrix tray pair has 4 preset
positions.
Self-Cure Restorations: Slightly overfill
preparation and place unset material into all
occlusal, buccal and lingual surfaces as required.
Insert occlusal matrix and have patient make small
protrusive and lateral movements. Remove matrix as
soon as material has set; then remove excess
material with sharp curette.
Light-Cured Restorations: Slightly overfill
preparation and place unset material into all
occlusal, buccal and lingual surfaces as required.
Insert occlusal matrix and have patient make small
protrusive and lateral movements. Return to centric
position and with teeth occluded, place thwe curing
light against the buccal wall for 15 seconds to spot
cure the material. Remove the occlusal matrix and
light-cure the restoration as prescribed by the
manufacturer.
