Universal Light-Cured Nano-Hybrid Composite
Frequently Asked Questions
Of all the new features that are a part of the KALORE composite, which is the most relevant to the Doctor?
Many of the desired long-term benefits that the Doctor wants to see out of their composite (i.e. less filler drop out, sustained luster, better wear resistance, less staining, less sensitivity) are all tied to the advantage of KALORE having the lowest shrinkage stress of any composite. You can emphasize that this leads to exceptional polishability, unrivalled aesthetics, and excellent durability.
Many Doctors want an "easier" way to get good aesthetics (and not have to worry about so many shades). What does KALORE have to offer in this area?
One of the comments we have been hearing over and over about KALORE is how greatly it embodies the chameleon effect. The HDR (High Density Radiopaque) pre-polymerized fillers combined with the modified strontium and fluoro alumnio silicate glass particles. These all have slightly different refractive indexes from each other, which result in excellent light refraction so the composite picks up the shades of the surrounding teeth in an exceptional manner.
Does KALORE contain bis-GMA?
No, KALORE does not contain bis-GMA. Nearly all other composites do contain bis-GMA (see table below).
