KALORE combines new, revolutionary monomer technology from DuPont with unique, patented High Density Radiopaque fillers to give you a composite with the lowest shrinkage stress of all leading composites. This combination leads to exceptional handling, beautiful aesthetics, durability and sustained, putting the control back in your hands.
- Superior handling; non-sticky, non-slumping, and sculptable
- Easy polishability, high gloss and sustained luster
- Wear resistance and excellent durability (due to less shrinkage stress)
- Simplified shading system; 3 opacities
- Great chameleon effect and quality of color
- bis-GMA free
- Compatible with any resin bonding agent
- No filler drop-out
- Improved durability
- Less risk of sensitivity
- Superior handling; non-sticky, non-slumping, and easy to spread

Of all the new features that are a part of the KALORE composite, which is the most relevant to the Doctor?
Many of the desired long-term benefits that the Doctor wants to see out of their composite (i.e. less filler drop out, sustained luster, better wear resistance, less staining, less sensitivity) are all tied to the advantage of KALORE having the lowest shrinkage stress of any composite. You can emphasize that this leads to exceptional polishability, unrivalled aesthetics, and excellent durability.
Many Doctors want an "easier" way to get good aesthetics (and not have to worry about so many shades). What does KALORE have to offer in this area?
One of the comments we have been hearing over and over about KALORE is how greatly it embodies the chameleon effect. The HDR (High Density Radiopaque) pre-polymerized fillers combined with the modified strontium and fluoro alumnio silicate glass particles. These all have slightly different refractive indexes from each other, which result in excellent light refraction so the composite picks up the shades of the surrounding teeth in an exceptional manner.
Does KALORE contain bis-GMA?
No, KALORE does not contain bis-GMA. Nearly all other composites do contain bis-GMA (see table below).

Miss Hawaii - Aureana Tseu
The proof is in the result and the perfect results achieved by using KALORE are exemplified in Aureana Tseu – Miss Hawaii, 2009. In an arena where perfection is a requirement, the qualities of KALORE made it the material of choice to highlight and complement her exceptional beauty as she pursued her quest for Miss USA 2009.
"Amazing! KALORE is not only so easy to use, it polishes and feels like porcelain. With its remarkable chameleon effect and low marginal shrinkage, this composite resin has tremendously moved the bar up to a new plateau in esthetic restorative materials."
Dr. Wynn Okuda, Past President, AACD
"I believe this new monomer formulation has solved the shrinkage challenge by removing the weak link - the shorter chain methacrylate matrix. This new system provides the potential for reducing the clinical challenges such as marginal gap, microleakage, stain and secondary caries while enhancing the aesthetics and wear resistance."

"As an artist, I look for materials that can complement my creativity. Essentials such as handling, the ability to match tooth structure and capture the correct reflective index of light are attributes of a great composite. KALORE definitely meets these standards of excellence."

"I love KALORE. It is a fantastic material with great handling and esthetics. The polish is easy to achieve and the chameleon blending is just amazing. Great job GC!"
Dr. Michael Melkers, DDS, FAGD
"The other "new" composite that I’ve been using lately is GC’s KALORE. This material is a thicker, more malleable, almost grainy appearing composite. It doesn’t slump, is easy to mold and polishes up really great. I think for those out there that like their composite to have more of a "chameleon" effect, then GC's KALORE will be right up your alley."
